The first Alpine Guard HEMA Cup took place in Zurich over the weekend of September 5–6, 2026. On Saturday, national and international fencers competed in friendly bouts in the Saber and Sidesword categories. The tournament culminated in exciting finals, all held in an excellent atmosphere of camaraderie and sportsmanship. Sunday was dedicated to workshops and more fun.
In the words of the organizing committee: “I would have loved to fence myself. But it is incredibly rewarding to give others the opportunity to have this much fun fencing Saber and Sidesword.”
